As a member of the US Air Force in WWII, I was involved in a serious accident and suffered many injuries throughout my body. I sustained severe head injuries including the loss of 5 front teeth, a broken nose, 22 stitches to sew a split Lip, and a fractured skull that began about 2 inches above my left eye and extended some 6 to 8 across the top of my head. They performed surgery to remove bone chips, and the injuries eventually healed and I returned to flying until the wars end.

When I was discharged and returned home, the headaches continued usually the result of barometric changes and they had continued basically all my life.

While I was young, I managed to cope with the problem, and thank God I never really lost time at work and though I was prayed for on numerous occasions, I never experienced a healing touch and I just lived with the problem, possibly because in my mind I began to feel it was something similar to the Apostle Paul's experience, feeling 'God's grace was sufficient to see me through my need.'

As I aged reaching 85, my ability to cope with the increasing amount and severity of the headaches, they began to wear on me, to the extent, beside pain killers I had to resort to ice packs to subdue the pain.

One Friday night in July of 2007 I had a severe attack, and nothing seemed to help, even causing a terrible restless night's sleep before it eventually ceased. The following morning, my wife and I attended Beth Judah to hear a special speaker from Israel. This was at the time when war was raging in Israel and the wife of the speaker requested he return home because his son was to be inducted into the service. He did so and John Jeyaseelan filled in for him. His topic that morning was 'time and its affect on our lives'. At the close of the service, John commented God was impressing him to pray for anyone in the service in need of a healing touch. I was in the group that went forward for prayer.

As I relate this account, I want all to know, John was a total stranger to me and I applaud him, for not only hearing God's command, but obeying it ! As he went down the line praying for each one, he came to me, paused, did not pray, but commented as he passed by, "do you know this is your time ?" I admit I was perplexed, wondering why now after having been prayed for so often in the past.

He prayed for the one to my left and then returned to me, placing His hands on both sides of my head he prayed, "God heal this man's headaches !" I repeat I never knew John and he didn't know me, and he never asked me what my request was or why I came forward to be prayed for, but God revealed my need, and he stated that short prayer, "God heal this man's headaches !."

July 2011 I reached 89 and it also has been four years, and we have added 3 more months since that occasion and I haven't had a headache since that short prayer was spoken and God answered it, removing my need.

I thank God for my healing and for his servant who obeyed the call of God and exercised his faith that our God could confirm the promise He outlined in Exodus 15:26, 'I AM THE GOD WHO HEALETH THEE !"
